Scope Of This Policy Statement
This Privacy Policy explains how the VocaGPT App and the VocaGPT Website, collects, uses and discloses your personal data.
This Policy statement does not apply to any Third Party AI Services that the App communicates with for AI conversations. Please see the Privacy Policy for the individual AI Service Provider(s) on how they handle your personal data.
App Processing Of Audio and AI Conversations.
The app will request your permission to access the device's microphone. This access is solely for enabling speech recognition, where the audio data is transmitted to Apple's Speech Recognition system for processing. No other use is made of this audio data. App microphone audio sampling is only engaged while you press and hold the listen button.
The app does not save your AI conversations either on your device storage or in the cloud. However, it maintains a log of your current session's conversations in the app's memory for your reference. This data is kept only until the app is closed and shut down.
If you choose to share-export all or part of your conversations then this policy section in relation to the AI conversational log no longer applies.
App Storage of Personal AI Service Provider Account API Keys and Portal details.
The app securely stores your personal API keys and related information necessary to connect with third-party AI service portals. This data is exclusively kept in your device's Apple Secure Enclave, which is utilized for enhanced security purposes.
The App does not require your third party AI Service Provider account details in order to connect to the Third Party portal(s) and as such, never asks for, or references your account information.
The API Keys are never made visible within the App views and in order to change or add new API Keys, you will first be asked to identify yourself using Apples biometric identification system (if your device model supports biometrics).
App AI Service Provider Communications.
The App directly connects to the formal portal URL for the respective AI Service provider. No intermediate proxies are used outside the formal AI Service Provider portal. The App only issues a secure HTTPS connection to the portal and the Service API Keys are included in the encrypted HTTPS header.
App Website Cookies.
The App Website does not use or store cookies.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
Originware may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make updates, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and will update the Effective Date. We encourage you to review this page for updates when you use the App.
